The random number generator has spoken, and has chosen Jessica as the winner for the End of September contest. Congratulations, Jessica! My goodness, you all are an ambitious bunch, with the projects and the plans! I enjoyed hearing about the astonishing number of items that are being planned, started, or finished. And bonus gold stars to those who have begun their Christmas knitting!
We had an eventful weekend, with the cats (most likely Cheddar) having caught not one but two mice. They were just little field mice and we're not sure how they got in the house (how do they ever?), but when we became aware of them they were ex-mice. At least the cats had no interest in consuming them. Cheddar and Cinder were very proud and a little hyper all weekend long, performing the equivalent of kitty high fives all over the house. Then all the excitement wore off and they keeled over for a good long sleep. As for me, I knit and spun. And I'll talk about that more tomorrow. Hope your week is off to a good start!

Kitty high fives. Lol.
Started their Christmas knitting? Started? Christmas knitting? Isn't Christmas eons away? Isn't it?

Aren't cats funny when they think they did something good!
The decision has been made. No Christmas knitting will be done here. We're going to Vegas!

I said I wasn't knitting for Christmas, but shopping instead. So I buy ... YARN and started knitting for Christmas last week. BUT, I did buy how-to books with needles & yarn for SEVEN of the grandchildren (one's a boy). I'm teaching them to knit! They all said they wanted to learn (2 have already started)and the books will be helpful to them when I'm not around. (they live in another State). Ages: 8, 9, 11, 11, 15, 16 & 18. Isn't that grand?

I just got my package. Thank you so much. I've already started spinning some of the roving up on the spindle!
